The Farmec Single Bale Linkage Feeder R1-1 is built to deliver reliable, versatile feeding performance, offering features that set it apart from many other machines on the market.Like all Farmec feeders, it provides true bi-directional feeding, allowing operators to feed out to either side with ease, whether opting for fast unrolling with the roll or a slower, controlled tease against it. Its heavy-duty 2-inch pitch floor chains, rated at an impressive 6,800 lbs breaking strain, outperform many 3-inch chains in both strength and efficiency. This robust chain design not only enhances durability and reduces replacement costs but also lowers torque demand on the hydraulic motor, contributing to smoother operation.
Loading bales is made simple with the self-loading forks, which attach directly to the tractor’s link arms via double lug jaws and Cat II pins. These forks, manufactured from conus-machined 60 mm solid bar, feature one tine extended by 100 mm to make bale alignment straightforward. A powerful, high-torque American hydraulic motor ensures consistent feeding of even the densest bales, connecting effortlessly through self-meshing heavy-duty drive dogs so the operator never needs to leave the tractor seat. Adding even greater functionality, the R1-1 includes a rota shredder running at a 25% increase in speed, making it particularly effective when feeding tight bales, straw, or hay, and ensuring a cleaner, more uniform spread every time.
