Carey comes from a farming background and has held roles in both corporate and private enterprises.

Carey's most recent experience in the industry was running a dairy heifer grazing operation on the Catlins Coast of Southland and subsequently as Group Manager of Southland Farm Machinery, the John Deere dealer for Otago and Southland.

In addition to Action Agriculture, Carey and his business partner Matthew Nelson own Action Equipment, an outdoor power equipment dealership with branches in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty.

Matt has a strong family background in the dairy industry and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Auckland University. Matt began his career with NZ Dairy Group, before starting work with Fonterra.

With a strong focus and background in IT, he has managed various business units and played roles in application development, team management and service delivery among other business functions.

In 2017, Matt and business partner, Carey Brier, purchased Action Equipment, a Bay of Plenty and Waikato based business focused on sales, service and parts supply for the lawn, garden and offroad motorcycle industry. Matt spends the majority of his time overseeing the management of the Action Equipment business, however, still plays an active Directors role in Action Agriculture's leadership and strategic direction.

Matt is passionate about challenging the status quo, fostering a positive team environment and achieving continuous improvement. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, dirt biking and making the most of life wherever possible.

Ian is a qualified automotive technician by trade and has spent many years in the automotive and agriculture tractor/machinery industries.

While starting as a technician, Ian migrated to sales and more recently branch management roles which have seen him spending the majority of his time in the Taranaki and Waikato regions.

Ian's last role was as Polaris Brand Manager for Action Equipment in Hamilton who were New Zealand's #1 side-by-side dealer for the last two years running.

Ian has a great affinity with the rural sector and understands the needs of the farming community from a sales, parts and service perspective.
