The Farmec 25 Tonne Contractor Trailer is built to meet the relentless demands of true heavy-duty work, engineered far beyond what many manufacturers describe as “heavy duty.”Designed to shift an impressive 25 tonnes of material every fifteen minutes, twelve hours a day, seven days a week, this trailer delivers exceptional performance and durability in the most demanding environments. Its fast-acting tipping body, powered by multi-stage rams, achieves a 60-degree tip angle while using minimal hydraulic oil, ensuring efficient unloading even with stubborn loads. A full RHS chassis paired with a single-beam drawbar provides outstanding strength and maximised turning capability, while the heavy-duty walking-beam tandem axle, oscillating on a continuous 75 mm high-tensile pin with 11 easily greased, centrally lubricated bushes, ensures stability and smooth operation, even at higher speeds thanks to the optimally off-centre pin placement.
Customers can select between two body styles to suit their work requirements: a mono lift-off one-piece side configuration for those who need the versatility of converting the trailer into a flatbed, or a fully welded monocoque bathtub body for constant bulk-haul operations. Both options come standard with fixed headboards featuring extension rails. Tailgates are fully removable on both body types and can be configured as a full hydraulic up-and-over door, a traditional top-hinged door, or a double swing-type door to match operational preferences.
For seasonal work, a silage kit is available, allowing the trailer to transition seamlessly into harvest duties. Offered either as a single lift-off unit or as bolt-together panels, the kit includes a front mesh window that can optionally fold down and full rear doors fitted with a centrally positioned one-third mesh panel to aid visibility when reversing empty. Completing the package is a choice of wheel options to match terrain and task: 560/60R22.5 flotation tyres for paddock and soft ground conditions, or 445/65R22.5 tyres for high-speed quarry and haul road applications.
