            Description

            The Contractor range of trailers is engineered to an exceptionally high standard, built far beyond what many manufacturers would consider “heavy duty.”

            Designed for relentless, high-output workloads, these trailers are capable of shifting an impressive 18 tonnes of material every 15 minutes, operating reliably 12 hours a day, seven days a week.  Every model in the CT series features a fast-tipping body powered by multi-stage hydraulic rams, delivering a generous 60° tip angle while maintaining minimal oil usage.  A full RHS chassis combined with a single-beam drawbar provides exceptional structural strength and an excellent turning circle.  Each trailer is equipped with a heavy-duty walking beam tandem axle, oscillating on a continuous 75 mm high-tensile pin with 11 centrally lubricated, easy-grease bushes.  The pin is deliberately positioned 50 mm off-centre to minimise speed wobble when paired with modern high-speed tractors.

            Customers can choose between two distinct body configurations: a mono lift-off one-piece side body, ideal for those requiring the versatility of converting the trailer into a flatbed for miscellaneous tasks, or a fully welded monocoque (bathtub) body designed for continuous bulk-haulage operations.  Both body styles come standard with fixed headboards and extension rails for added strength and practicality.  Tailgates on both versions are fully removable and can be configured as hydraulic up-and-over doors, standard top-hinged doors, or double swing doors, depending on the operator’s needs.

            For seasonal agricultural work, a dedicated silage kit is available, supplied either as a one-piece lift-off assembly or in bolt-together panels.  This kit includes a front mesh window, which can optionally fold down, along with full rear doors featuring a centrally positioned upper mesh section to provide improved visibility when reversing empty.  Wheel options are tailored for varied operating environments, with standard choices including 560/60R22.5 flotation tyres for soft-ground applications or 445/65R22.5 tyres suited to high-speed quarry work, ensuring the Contractor range can be matched precisely to the demands of any workload.
