The Contractor range of trailers is purpose-built for extreme, continuous heavy-duty work, engineered far beyond what many manufacturers classify as “heavy duty.”These trailers are designed to move an impressive 16 tonnes of material every 15 minutes, operating reliably 12 hours a day, seven days a week. Each model in the CT range features a rapid-tipping body powered by multi-stage hydraulic rams, delivering a generous 60° tip angle while keeping oil consumption to a minimum. Strength and manoeuvrability are ensured by a full RHS chassis paired with a single-beam drawbar, offering exceptional durability and an excellent turning circle. Every trailer comes standard with a heavy-duty walking beam tandem axle, oscillating on a continuous 75 mm high-tensile pin with 11 easy-to-grease, centrally lubricated bushes, and the pin is deliberately positioned 50 mm off-centre to reduce high-speed wobble when towed by modern tractors.
Buyers can choose between two body styles: a mono lift-off one-piece side body, ideal for operators who need the versatility of converting the trailer into a flatbed for additional tasks, or a fully welded monocoque (bathtub) body, suited for continuous bulk-haulage operations. Both designs come standard with fixed headboards and extension rails, and each accommodates a variety of tailgate configurations, including removable hydraulic up-and-over doors, standard top-hinged doors, or double swing doors. For seasonal harvesting work, a dedicated silage kit is available, offered either as a lift-off one-piece assembly or as bolt-together panels. This kit features a front mesh window, optionally fold-down, plus full rear doors incorporating a centrally positioned mesh upper section to improve visibility when reversing empty.
Wheel options are tailored to diverse working environments, with standard choices including 500/60R22.5 flotation tyres or 445/65R22.5 tyres suited to high-speed quarry applications. For operators needing an even larger footprint, 560/45R22.5 and 560/60R22.6 tyres are also available, making the Contractor range adaptable to exceptionally soft or demanding ground conditions.
